Film: Sunset Boulevard at The National Gallery

Whilst The National Gallery isn’t the first place you’d associate with must-see films, this winter they’re showing a season of classics screened each Saturday at 1pm.  Showing on 2nd March is Sunset Boulevard in which Gloria Swanson stars as the faded Venus Norma Desmond, a former silent film star obsessed with her former glory.  Directed by Billy Wilder, there’s murder, intrigue and drama aplenty and if you haven’t seen it, then don’t miss this chance to see it on the big screen.
