24th - 25th September
The Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival has become a firm fixture in our calendar. The location is a winner for a start, in the lovely Snape Maltings which is just a hop, skip and a jump from the Suffolk coast. It’s the delicious produce that draws people in though, of course and this year’s festival will feature over a 100 of the region’s best food and drink producers. There will also be events with Angela Hartnett, Jose Pizarro and Anna Jones who wrote the brilliant A Modern Way to Eat. Another highlight we are particularly looking forward to is the ticketed evening feast on Saturday night hosted by the Suffolk Young Producers, a group whose members all come from long-standing, family-run companies that generate a cornucopia of quality produce used in pubs, restaurants and shops across Britain. These include raw milk cheese makers Fen Farm Dairy, venison pie experts Truly Traceable, and one of our favourites, local bakery and bean to bar chocolate producers Pump Street Bakery. We cannot wait.
