THEATRE & CHRISTMAS
We hate to mention the word Christmas when it’s only October but now is the time to get booking for those classic festive outings that you won’t want to miss out on when December arrives.
This is what we are booking right now:
Kew at Christmas
There’s something even more magical about Kew at Christmas with the trees, temples and glasshouses lit up as you walk along the winter trails. There’s a special Santa Grotto’s for kids (see also below), a Victorian carousel and helter skelter. And you can finish up with a warming hot chocolate, mulled wine and toasted marshmallows. Book here for the timed entry tickets.
Skate at Somerset House with Fortnum & Mason
There are lots of ice rinks dotted around London now during winter but Somerset House remains one of our favourites. Maybe it’s the Fortnum & Mason Lodge with their wine and fondue for 2 or the lovely Fortnum’s Christmas Arcade. Or maybe it’s the jazz skate and club nights, it’s all great fun. Book here for tickets.
The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House
Who can resist this classic festive ballet especially when you have a prima ballerina such as Lauren Cuthbertson on stage. Be warned though, there are few tickets left for pre-Christmas, so do snap them up now here (or go for the cheaper tickets post-Christmas).
The Portobello Panto
Whilst tickets aren’t available quite yet, we’re keeping our eye on their Facebook page here for when they announce tickets going on sale. Going for over 25 years, this year’s panto will be at The Tabernacle, W11 and with Anna Chancellor back in charge, we’re expecting a particularly epic panto this December.
