FOOD & RESTAURANTS
We recently took our godchildren out to tea and it reminded us what a brilliant way it is to celebrate (and to get you through the winter months!) So we’re particularly looking forward to the Bloomsbury Set Afternoon Tea which is being launched at the Charlotte Street Hotel. You’ll be able to sit in the drawing room or library surrounded by original paintings by Duncan Grant, Roger Fry, Vanessa Bell and Nina Hamnett whilst dining on their favourite afternoon tea. Virginia Woolf’s favourite eccles cakes (perfect sustenance for writing), Frances Partridge’s Blackberry Mousse Opera Cake and a Crab Bloody Mary Melba Toast inspired by Duncan Grant’s love for the drink. If you’d like something a little stronger than tea to drink than you can opt for the Oscar Gimlet made by the local micro-brewery, Bloomsbury. Prices start at £26 and we’d advise you book early to avoid disappointment.
