McSweeney’s books

McSweeney’s, the hip American on-line book store set up by Dave Eggers (if you haven’t read his latest, Zeitoun, you must – it’s an eye-opening read) have just started to produce books for children under the new publishing imprint, McMullens. The idea was thought up by McSweeney’s art director and editor, Brian McMullen, who wanted to create books for his two young sons to read. And to celebrate the launch of the imprint, they are offering a sale price on a bundle of their first 4 books which they ship from NY to the UK. We enviously looked through a friend’s order and particularly loved Symphony City by Amy Martin with it’s wonderful, colourful illustrations.
