Hotels: The Long House by Living Architecture

Hopkins Architects

Writer Alain de Botton had the idea for the company Living Architecture whilst working on a book about, yes you guessed it, architecture. It’s aim is to enable people to eat, live and sleep in an outstanding architecturally designed space from as little as £20 a person per night. They are taking a few years getting the houses built but there are three available so far – a balancing barn and dune house in Suffolk and a shingle house in Kent. Booking is now available for their newest venture, The Long House in Norfolk, which becomes available in November but you’ll need to get your skates on, as otherwise you’ll be looking for dates in 2012 and beyond.
