My, oh my, what a brilliant line-up the Serpentine Gallery has gathered together for their annual two-day talk marathon next weekend. The theme is gardens, inspired by the garden at the centre of the Peter Zumthor designed pavilion, and the participants include: documentary-maker Adam Curtis, artist Wolfgang Tillmans, gardener Dan Pearson, legendary French feminist writer and philosopher Hélène Cixous, the eminent scientist and mathematician Marcus de Sautoy (he’s such a brilliant speaker that he holds the post of the Simonyi Professorship for the Public Understanding of Science), artist Jake Chapman, filmmaker Sophie Fiennes, design critic Alice Rawsthorn and so many, many more.
And if you’d like to hear these brilliant people in person for free, then there’s good news! We’ve got one pair of all weekend tickets and two pairs of single day tickets to give away to three lucky winners. Just enter your details into the prize draw below and we will pick the winners out of a hat after 5pm on 13th October. The winners’ tickets will then be available to collect at the Serpentine Gallery lobby desk. Good luck!
