Mouki – A New Concept Store in Marylebone

Imagine a secret shop, packed with treasures, jewels, clothes, accessories, beauty products and shoes. A shop which looks tiny from the outside, but has a never-ending maze of little connecting rooms, all displaying the most beautiful items. Mouki is one of those “secret” discoveries – an outstanding concept store, which you’ll return to time after time.  Situated on Chiltern Street in Marylebone, it was founded by Maria Lemos (of Rainbowwave Showroom and before that sales director of John Galliano) in May. The store is named after her daughter and has a completely personal feel – it is feminine, understated yet confident and has unique pieces sourced from all over the world.  We particularly like the selection from bohemian designer Dosa as well as Paris-based 45RPM (which is one of Amanda Harlech’s favourite designers) but there are also many other objects to treasure – beautiful paperweights with real blue cornflowers trapped inside; exquisite jewellery from Ten Thousand Things and Anna Sheffield, and stunning embroidered cushions by Coral and Tusk. After your visit to Mouki pop into another of our favourites just up the road – The Monocle Cafe, (read our previous post about it here).
