Hello My Name Is Paul Smith

Of our many talented British fashion designers, Paul Smith is one of the most enduring as well as being something of a national treasure. This November we can all get an insight into his fast-paced and colourful life with the Design Museum’s big autumn show – Hello My Name is Paul Smith. This retrospective, curated by Donna Loveday (who also worked on the museum’s hugely successful Christian Louboutin show last year) will chart Smith’s career from his early days in Nottingham, when he opened a three metre square menswear shop in 1970, to the eclectic flagship stores that are now part of his global brand (our favourite is his giant hot pink cube in L.A.). The man himself is incredibly down to earth and quite funny too, so his evening talk about his working life, inspirations and fashion on 26th November is definitely worth booking too.
