We have always loved Kinnerton Street, which, if you don’t know it, is tucked away in a very peaceful corner of Belgravia and we make regular pilgrimages to visit a clutch of our favourite stores there – especially at this time of year. This week-end there’s another reason to visit as an Italian pop-up shop has opened its doors from 5th – 8th December at No 83. The store will sell homewares from small Italian producers that can’t be found anywhere else including gorgeous Yali Murano glass, linens from Chiarastella Cattana, Paola Piglia illustrations and ceramics by Tommaso Corvi-Mora. The pop-up will be open from 11am – 6pm daily.
Here are a few more of our favourite places in the area.
Rachel Vosper (69 Kinnerton St, London SW1X 8ED) If you haven’t yet experienced these gorgeous candles then do pay a visit to this chic store where the collection includes delicious and elegant candles such as the orange blossom scented Choisya or Rose and Neroli. Vosper will also fill empty candle containers with new fragranced wax too.
Egg (36 Kinnerton Street, SW1X 8ES) One of the most inspiring shops in London, this clothes and homeware store in housed in a former mews and exquisitely designed. There are beautiful ceramics, timeless clothes and great textiles including colourful Indian quilts.
Rococo (5 Motcomb Street, SW1X 8JU) We will happily kill time in any branch of our favorite chocolate store, but this one is bigger and houses a chocolate kitchen and school downstairs as well as a small garden.
Carolina Bucci (4 Motcomb Street, SW1X 8JU) This small jewellery boutique is packed with exquisite pieces from the Italian designer – Bucci’s jewels are not cheap but there are some more affordable pieces here including her diamond and gem eternity bands.
L&B Linen (6-7 Motcomb Street, SW1X 8JU) This large and very zen store houses London’s biggest selection of fine linen from France and Italy as well as sumptuous cashmere throws, towels and crockery.
