Three nights of conversation with leading women in food, including Rose Prince, Sam Clark, Sybil Kapoor, Felicity Cloake and others
6 - 8 May, 2014
Some of our favourite chefs and food writers have been gathered together by Divertimenti, the great kitchen and tableware shop and cooking school in Marylebone Hight Street, to discuss all things culinary over three nights in May. The fact that they are all women is a huge added bonus. They include Jojo Tulloh – whose books we have written about here and here (we love the way Tulloh writes about food), Sabrina Ghayour (we’ve had a sneak preview of her forthcoming book, Persiana, and can confirm that it’s brilliant), the legend that is Sybil Kapoor, Trine Hahnemann, author of the highly influential The Scandinavian Cookbook, Rose Prince, surely one of the very best food writers working today (see here and here for our posts on her, and here for her fab Guest Blog), The Guardian’s Felicity Cloake, who has just written a great cookbook called Perfect Too, Sam Clark, who with her husband – also called Sam Clark – founded the restaurant Moro, co-wrote the classic Moro cookbooks, and has just finished co-writing (with Clark) her new cookbook, Morito, cheese maker and owner of Gringa Dairy, Kristen Schnepp, Stefani Smith from River Cottage, and Allegra McEvedy, who latest book Big Table, Busy Kitchen, we raved about here. Quite a line-up, isn’t it, and there are more besides, all equally noteworthy. Food writer and broadcaster Tim Hayward will be chairing all three salon evenings, during which, we imagine, much will be said. Our only issue is, which evening to go for? Our solution, obviously, is the full, three-evening menu.
