If you’ve eaten at Morito, the little sister restaurant of Clerkenwell’s much loved Moro, then you’ll probably already have this cook book on order. If you haven’t, then this book will introduce you to the kind of tapas and mezze that Morito specialises in: tasty, addictive, flavour-bomb food inspired by Sam & Sam Clark’s travels in Spain, Turkey and the Eastern Med, that you could eat and eat, and, it turns out, cook and cook – especially at this time of year, and going into summer. We got our hands on this book two weeks ago and have been using it nightly ever since, both for ideas and inspiration (especially when it comes to vegetables) and for its recipes. So far, Wrinkled Potatoes with Mojo Verde, Artichokes, Chorizo and White Wine, Mushroom and Prawn Rice, and the Lamb Chops Mechoui (oh my god, the Lamb Chops Mechoui!) have all become firm favourites. And as you’d expect from the Moro team (husband and wife, Sam and Sam Clark), the book itself is gorgeous, with wonderful, evocative photography and good writing throughout.
