It was the lovely Anya Hindmarch who first put us onto the genius idea of filing our lives into different labelled pouches. If you travel a lot, or you juggle many different roles in your work and home life – that’s most of us then – compartmentalising all the ephemera of our daily lives makes a lot of sense. And it makes finding an ancient receipt, business card or errant notelet a whole lot easier. But unless we could spend lots of money on the designer versions of these pouches we’ve never found ones that really make us foam at the mouth. Until that is we stumbled upon a huge display of said pouches at West Elm this week. Not only are they really colourful, with lots of juicy bright shades in block colours, but there are also smile-inducing candy stripes and hand-painted dots that looked more Marni than mass market (especially the delicious sky blue version). Best of all they’re totally affordable with the largest costing £39 – and available online by clicking on the link below. Happy shopping.
