Over the holidays we went back to take another look at Guy Bourdin: Image Maker at Somerset House. If you haven’t yet been, then there’s still a couple of months to see this brilliant show, that cleverly illustrates the processes and concepts behind those fabulously glossy and incredibly influential shoots. Although there was no proper catalogue of the exhibition to buy at the end, there was a brilliant case of sought-after Bourdin titles put together by Beaux Books. If you don’t know this excellent source of hard-to-find books already, (the company was set up but Clare Trimming in 2012) then add the website to your bookmarks – it’s a fabulous destination for really special books on art, homes, fashion and lifestyle. We are coveting a much sought-after copy of Wirtz Gardens and a stunning Murakami monograph. If you’re interested in rare Bourdin tomes you’ll need to get yourself to Somerset House though as these titles can only be bought at the show.
