We think this is a great bargain – see the brilliant Maurizio Pollini, one of the most admired pianists of our time, playing at the Southbank this March for only £10. If you want to see him close up, you can always opt for the £65 premium tickets but wherever you are at the Royal Festival Hall, Schumann’s Arabesque and Chopin’s Preludes will sound wonderful. And if this appeals, then do check out some of the other bargain tickets to be had during the Southbank’s International Piano Series – such as Arcadi Volodos and Stephen Hough, plus upcoming pianists such as Daniil Trifonov. And if you like the sound of more than one, save 20% on tickets if you book 3 concerts or more.
