Our favourite kitchen emporium Divertimenti routinely hosts engaging talks from chefs and food writers – we’ve written about their excellent culinary salons before. Next week the Knightsbridge branch will host a lively talk with another of our faves – Diana Henry who, along with Richard H Turner, will take part in an evening that is being billed as a battle of chickens VS pigs. Henry has recently published her excellent ode to poultry with A Bird in the Hand while Turner, whose dual roles at Hawksmoor and Pitt Cue Co already mark him out as a serious carnivore, has just published Hog: Proper Pork Recipes from the Snout to the Squeak. Expect lots of lively discussion on cookbooks, inspiration and, if you don’t have them already, a chance to buy both authors’ books at a discounted rate.
