Prize Draw ends 26 June 2015, 5pm; exhibition ends 6 September 2015
The Hayward Gallery are expecting this show to be hugely popular and having seen it for ourselves, we think they’re right. It certainly isn’t a run-of-the-mill art exhibition – there aren’t any paintings on the walls – but then you wouldn’t expect that from the artist who opened a bar, restaurant and dance club in London that doubled as an artwork in 2008. Instead, there are two Isomeric Slides (helter-skelter slides) that go from the glass pyramid ceiling down to the gallery entrance floor and two roaming robotic beds that you can sleep in overnight (June is booked out but there are more dates coming available soon). There are flying machines that enable you to fly over Waterloo Bridge, an indoor maze-tunnel and upside-down goggles. Although Höller called the show Decision, it’s actually all about your responses to the installations that the Gallery Director, Ralph Rugoff, says ‘takes the rug out from under our feet’. But most of all, and best of all, it is all ‘unapologetically entertaining’.
We recommend that you book tickets asap (tickets on Saturdays are selling out quickly), or alternatively you can enter our prize draw below as we’re very happy to say that we have two tickets to give away. Just make sure you enter by 5pm on Friday 26th June 2015, after which we will pick out a winner.
