Last summer we got very excited about the latest addition to Clerkenwell’s ridiculously good foodie scene – the nostalgic all-British seafood cafe Bonnie Gull. Well this summer there’s another excuse to go – especially if you are just back from a holiday and want to prolong the salt-air feeling a little longer. For the rest of the month the Bonnie Gull Outdoor Kitchen will be serving take-away fish and chips every lunchtime from Wednesday to Friday (11am – 3pm) or, more accurately, lipsmacking beer-battered North Sea haddock with chunky beef dripping chips. In the evenings from Wednesday – Saturday between 4pm and 8pm there will also be a take-away service as well as a chance to sample the seafood shack’s oysters and small plates with a glass of cold beer or Prosecco too. Pesky seagulls not included.
