RESTAURANT & WORKSHOP
We’ve raved before about the heavenly food at Merchants Tavern and its fabulous Kitchen Counter which was introduced last summer. Now head chef Neil Borthwick is taking the intimate counter experience one step further with a series of workshops which kicked off with a butchery class this past weekend. But fear not as there are more sessions to book this month. On 14th November, Borthwick will be hosting a tour of the market at Spa Terminus and then whipping up a two course vegetarian lunch back at his restaurant. The following Saturday, 21st November, he will be joined by Angela Hartnett for a pasta making session – and seriously we cannot imagine anyone we’d rather see whipping up Italian dishes than Hartnett. The workshops, lunch and accompanying wines can be booked for £50 per head which is a bargain in our book – as well as a indulgent way to spend a misty autumn afternoon.
