Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction talks & Book bar

To celebrate Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction, there will be a week of talks and events at the new pop-up Book Bar at Waterstones, Tottenham Court Road from Monday 16th May.  Catch Ali Smith, the 2015 Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction winner, in conversation with the prize co-founder Kate Mosse on Monday evening.  On Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes, you can hear actors Tori Allen-Martin and Jim Rascal performing readings from each of the 2016 shortlisted novels and on Thursday evening, a panel of business women – including this year’s Chair of Judges Margaret Mountford, literary agent Felicity Blunt, and Siobhan Moriarty from Diageo’s Executive Committee – talk about the books that have inspired them in their working lives. Finally, on Friday evening Eimear McBride, 2014 Baileys Prize winner for her debut novel, A Girl is a Half-formed Thing, will be reading from her new novel, The Lesser Bohemians. Each event is £6 each and the price includes a Baileys cocktail or coffee – a bargain, we think!
