There’s nothing like the start of a New Year to encourage us to learn something new.  This year we have our eye on the following courses/lessons:

Petersham Nurseries Spring Classes

We’ve attended one of their Spring day courses before and came back brimming with ideas.  There are practical demonstrations followed by tips and advice and all the teachers have an incredible wealth of knowledge.  Classes start from £25 but we’d advise you to book early as they do get sold out quickly.  From £25, book tickets here.

Sabrina Ghayour at Divertimenti

One of our top cookery books of the last few years is Persiana (see our review and one of her recipes here) and her latest from last year, Sirocco, so we can’t wait to see author Sabrina Ghayour in person at her masterclass cookery courses at Divertimenti Cookery School.  On February 19th, Ghayour will be teaching a mixture of modern and more traditional dishes whilst on February 23rd,  she will be teaching a modern take on middle eastern cuisine.  £115, book tickets here.

Baking Classes with Shaheen Peerbhai

Chef and food blogger, Peerbhai was classically trained in French cuisine and pâtisserie and has worked in Mumbai, Paris and London, at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and St John.  Peerbhai creates mouthwatering, beautiful cakes and pastries which you can make yourself at her Teatime Treats class on 14th January.  £70, book tickets here.  (Look out also for her delicious Galette des Rois which you can order online here).

Rita Konig

If you have plans for any house renovations this year, then you definitely need to sign up for Rita’s workshops (the next one is February 9th) which include her insider tips on where to source accessories and furniture plus a wealth of practical advice such as how to design your own kitchen.  £375, including lunch, book tickets here.
