If you need uplifting, do watch 22 year old Amanda Gorman, who yesterday read one of her poems The Hill We Climb at Joe Biden’s Inauguration. Suffering from a speech impediment as a child, Gorman became LA’s youth poet laureate at 16. Three years later, while studying sociology at Harvard, she became the youngest ever National Youth Poet Laureate. She has already published a book and her first picture book for children comes out this Spring. She has promised to run for President herself in 2036, when she would first be eligible.
