One of the few silver linings of being in London over lockdown was the invention of Spring To Go, the world’s most tempting online food shop. Repurposing produce bound for Spring restaurant, it stocked fresh Fern Verrow veggies and seasonal flowers, Heckfield Home Farm dairy products, not to mention the most delicious baked treats. Then there was the pink ice cream pop up in the courtyard of Somerset House for the summer of 2020, and later a bricks-and-mortar corner shop in Notting Hill. It is both sad and happy news that this is now closing. Hurrah for Spring, since the restaurant is back to full capacity and they need all the produce in the kitchen. But we’ll be sad to see it’s shop go. Do visit for their closing party on Saturday 16th April 8am-5pm where they will be giving away free yoghurt, granola and rhubarb compote pots in the morning, followed by ice buns, ice cream Heckfield cheese and chutney as well as cordials as the day goes on. There will also be one last chance to buy goodies from the shop. Get ready for Easter with Spring’s hot cross buns, Skye’s signature simnel cake, and potted plants for the garden.
