In her new book, The Marriage Portrait she turns to the Florentine court and the Medici family in all their glory. The story follows that of spirited and artistically gifted Lucrezia, third daughter of Cosimo de’ Medici and her marriage to Alfonso d’este, Duke of Ferrara.
