Chateau Orlando by Luke Edward Hall

The new fashion and home collection by Luke Edward Hall includes super stylish knitwear, backpacks and posters. We went to visit the new pop-up at Le Bon Marche in Paris to find out more.

Entitled Postcards from the Castle, the designer and artist Luke Edward Hall’s new home and clothing line was inspired by the secret gardens of Britain’s great houses. (See one of our previous interviews with Luke here). With a vibe that is very Wes Anderson meets Harry Styles, Luke says ”When creating our trellis, leaf and flower patterns, I imagined stumbling into a lost garden within the walls of a medieval castle on a brilliant spring afternoon, falling under its spell and setting up home there among the ancient trees and crenelations.’ Launching this month and backed by the Italian group WeManage, the label kicks off with a series of knitwear (all made responsibly in the Veneto region of Italy), trays and posters which you can find online here.

Luke has also collaborated with Le Bon Marche on a pop-up where a more extensive collection is being sold.  Here you’ll find backpacks, tote bags and pouches that are part of a collaboration with the cult luggage brand L/Uniform.   All are branded with the logo of Chateau Orlando as well as a drawing by Luke. Plans are afoot to expand to a 40 piece collection for the next season with more of the homeware section too so keep your eyes peeled!
