Our favourite new beauty products

We've been busy trying out new beauty products this month. Not all of them have made the grade, only these tried and tested favourites.

This lip and cheek balm sold out almost immediately when the new eco-line, No.1 de Chanel, was launched at the beginning of the year.  Luckily, these little posts of magic are now mostly back in stock. Infused with the hydrating properties of red camellia oil, they really do give an incredible glow. With six shades to choose from, we use Lively Rosewood.

We couldn’t decide between Trinny London’s Be Your Best Enzyme Balm Cleanser or Better Off AHA/PHA Gel Cleanser – so we decided to include both!  We use the gentle balm in the evening to help take off makeup and massage our face with a cloth and the gel cleanser in the morning for an exfoliating, wake-up wash.

Vegan, cruelty free, sustainable and suitable for all skin types, this face mask is clinically proven to hydrate the skin for over 12 hours.  It is expensive but you don’t need to use much and the texture is velvety soft.  We especially like to use it overnight to wake up with super smooth and plump skin.

Whilst not exactly new, this mascara was new to us.  Vogue European Beauty & Wellness Director, Jessica Diner, used it on a personal trip to NYC recently and needing a new mascara, we took note.  We weren’t disappointed.  It coats the lashes beautifully and stays on without moving (otherwise we find our mascara sliding down our cheeks).  We’ll definitely be making a repeat purchase.

Bobbi Brown’s Concealer Kit has long been one of the most popular concealers on the market and one used by many makeup artists too.  So it’s great news that the concealer kit (which came with two different colours) is now getting a sister product – the skin corrector stick.  Easy to use but long lasting (it is waterproof), it really does make those dark circles disappear.

If you are still using disposable wipes, then now is the time to replace them with these organic bamboo cotton reusable pads that you can wash in the accompanying mesh bag. Soft and naturally anti-bacterial, you’ll never look back.

We were recommended this by a friend for dry, winter lips.  Conditioning and hydrating, it contains 28 separate oils and gives a luscious, slick colour that settles down into a long lasting lip stain.
